It's that time.

Laren admitted it, and so did Alyssa. My weight is out of control. Last spring I got on the scale and saw a number I had never seen before. I started working out and changing my eating. I got things under control and even got down to a weight that I was pretty happy with. Well, just past New Year's, I got on the scale again, and that last never again number was there again, only it was bigger. I was only 10 pounds from my absolute terror number. Yikes! I have been working out a lot, but those numbers are totally unacceptable.

So far I've made a few changes (mustard on my sandwich instead of mayo,) but mainly we've just stopped eating out. It's amazing! I've steadily lost 2 pounds a week just from eating in. Plus my bank account looks a lot better. I'm going to stay committed, and I should be down at or below my last-spring number by V-day. Then I'll just have to keep it up. It's hard to stay on track without a buddy though, and DH is just not very helpful in this regard. At least he eats what I cook, so if I bring home takeout or cook at home, he still eats it. That sort of counts as support, right?

  1. Ugh, I'm right there with you. :( We're trying to be good, and I'm focusing on eating more fruits and veggies. I bought a new dress for Valentine's Day and I'm really hoping that a) it fits and b) I don't look like a stuffed sausage!
