Things I Learned

I learned a few things over this past holiday. I was in NM with my family, and we had a great time. So, without further ado, let me share with you the things I learned.

1. Facebook is not only a great tool for connecting ONLINE with old friends, but it works great to arranging face-to-face meetings as well. An old horse buddy of mine was flying in with her daughter and it turned out that we both had layovers in Denver. We flew the last leg together and it was a great opportunity to catch up.

2. Children never run out of energy and they brighten holidays by their mere presence.

3. Nothing beats mom's cooking on a holiday.

4. Only 15 days until winter break!!!!

5. I love, love, love being out and about during the holiday season. I did a little Christmas shopping today, and it was so great to be out doing fun stuff. The crowds really don't bother me. Though I do feel bad for the kids whose parents are stressed and take it out on them.

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving and is looking forward to our next round of revelry.
